BUS Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for the Boiler Upgrade Scheme, your property and current heating system must meet specific criteria.
✅ You ARE Eligible If:
- Your property is located in England or Wales
- You're replacing a fossil fuel heating system (gas, oil, electric, or LPG boiler)
- You own the property or have written landlord permission for the installation
- Your property meets insulation requirements (we provide free assessment)
- Installation completed by MCS-certified installer (Prometheus Energy approved)
❌ You're NOT Eligible If:
- You already have a renewable heating system installed in your property
- Your property is newly built with completion date after 1st April 2021
- You've previously received BUS funding for this or another property
- Your property is located in Scotland or Northern Ireland regions
- The property lacks adequate insulation to meet efficiency requirements
